[D7403]

This folder contains documents relating to the Sarnia Street Railway Co. This company was incorporated in Canada in 1874 to connect the town of Sarnia, Ontario, with the Grand Trunk Railway depot in Point Edward, Ontario, across the St. Clair River from Fort Gratiot, Michigan. William Pitt Edison was the company's secretary and one of its incorporators. Thomas Edison also invested in the road. The documents for 1874 consist of the legislative act incorporating the company and an agreement, signed by William Pitt Edison, between the Sarnia Street Railway Co. and the Grand Trunk Railway Co. of Canada.
