This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the construction of an extension to the Appleton plant and the expansion of the original central station district. Among the correspondents are George H. Bliss, general superintendent of the Western Edison Light Co.; Aug. Ledyard Smith, president of the Appleton Edison Electric Light Co.; and Charles H. Cooke, who conducted the canvass to enlarge the original hydro-powered system, which had been installed in 1882.
