This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the business of the Edison Manufacturing Co. Most of the letters pertain to the licensing and marketing of the Edison-Lalande battery. Also included are technical descriptions of the battery cell and specifications and notes regarding the construction of a factory at Silver Lake, N. J.
Approximately 30 percent of the documents have been selected. The following categories of documents have not been selected: routine correspondence relating to the shipment of materials and supplies and to company accounts; routine letters from creditors; other routine business correspondence; time reports and day reports for Factory No. 2 for the period February-March; bills and receipts pertaining to operating expenses, including the factory payroll.
