This folder contains correspondence, reports, and other documents relating to experiments and tests conducted at the West Orange laboratory. Also included are lists of experimental accounts, payroll records for the machine shop and laboratory, and other documents pertaining to labor costs for experimental work.

Approximately 50 percent of the documents have been selected. The following categories of documents have not been selected: routine correspondence relating to orders, personal affairs of employees, payrolls, and shipments; monthly meter accounts for electric lighting supplied by the laboratory plant to the Edison Phonograph Works and various homeowners in Llewellyn Park; reports covering water consumption at the laboratory.
