This notebook covers the period March 1880-February 1884. There are also a few entries for 1894 and 1899. Most of the entries are by Charles Batchelor The material relates primarily to electric lighting, particularly dynamo design and lamp tests. Included also are calculations for a Paris central station, drawings and notes from 1899 pertaining to a filter mask designed by Batchelor, and copies of correspondence about cost estimates for central stations. The book contains 284 numbered pages and has been used in both directions.
