This undated notebook was probably used sometime during the period 1901-1902. Most of the entries are by Edison; some are by an unidentified experimenter. The book contains a list of chemical compounds, mostly organic, with brief descriptions of each compound's physical properties. The number following each entry refers to a key on the first page of the book that provides a set of twenty-one descriptive categories for the substances, including "amorphous," "ductile," "pitchy," "soapy," and "waxy." The spine is labeled "151." The pages are unnumbered. Approximately 60 pages have been used.
