[The following note describes a series of notebooks that were not selected. For that reason, a "no Documents found" message will appear if the "List Documents" button at the bottom of the note is used. To see the records in the selected notebooks, use the "Which Series Notes?" button to enter the Series Notes.]
These fifty-eight notebooks, which cover the years 1910-1920, were used by E. J. Albert, Frank A. Aloia, Walter N. Archer, Herbert A. Decker, Henry O. Goris, Walter E. Holland, Charles W. Norton, John Ober, W. J. O'Dair, Roscoe J. Smith, G. F. Sohnle, H. A. Wannamacher, an experimenter named Chamberlain, and various unidentified experimenters. The books contain tabulated data on iron pockets that were taken from production at the Edison Storage Battery Co. and tested. The data includes specifications of pockets, such as machine number, weights, iron, mix, "dumps," and averages for the day and week. Some notebooks contain data on charge/discharge runs, including the effect of temperature on the runs. E-numbers refer to experimental pockets and R-numbers refer to regular pockets. The instructions in the books sometimes provide specifics on the tests, such as amount and times of charging and discharging, and the name of the manager (generally Archer, Holland, or John V. Miller) who should receive the report.
