[The following note has no documents attached to it. For that reason, a "no Documents found" message will appear if the "List Documents" button at the bottom of the note is used. Individually indexed correspondence and other loose items from the Supplement that have been integrated into the Part I folders can be identified by the designation "TAEM 97:[frame number]" in the information box above the document image.]
These documents, found or recovered after the Part I microfilm edition had been published, were filmed at the end of the Part II microfilm edition. Most of the items are part of a cache of property stolen from the Edison National Historical Park in 1976 and recovered in 1985. The approximately 100 documents cover the years 1875-1878, with most dating from 1877 and 1878. Included are letters, agreements, technical notes and drawings, legal statements, circulars and other documents relating to the phonograph, multiple telegraphy, the electric pen and autographic press, and the aerophone. Authors and recipients include Edison, George H. Bliss, Edward H. Johnson, George B. Prescott, and Theodore Puskas.
Unlike the supplements to later parts of the microfilm edition, the documents in the Supplement Series of Part II are arranged in strict chronological order. Also unlike later parts, there are no editorial notes at the bottom or top of the images, identifying their proper place in the sequence of microfilmed images. Most of the documents were integrated into the Document File folders for the years 1874-1878. There are also some items in the Unbound Notes and Drawings folders for 1876-1878, and five items that were integrated into Unbound Notebooks: Vol. 17 (1877-1878).
