This July 1920 letter from Edison to U.S. Senator Chauncey M. Depew, contains a description of two telegraph messages sent around the world at the 1896 Electrical Exposition in New York City. Edison acted as receiving operator for the two messages, exchanged between Depew and financier Edward D. Adams.
