This collection consists of a March 1885 letter from Edison to Theodore Hook Whitney, an electrician in St. Augustine, Florida, who had once worked in the Menlo Park laboratory. The letter, written from Cedar Key, Florida, relates to a delay in a shipment of guns that Edison had ordered. In addition to the letter, there is an obituary of Theodore Whitney from an unknown newspaper and a newspaper clipping about the "interesting collection of Edisonian memorabilia" owned by his son, Wallace W. Whitney. Courtesy of Tom Smoot, Fort Myers, Florida.
