Use XAR instead.**\r\n\r\nThis company was incorporated on December 16, 1880, to construct generating stations in New York City. Incorporators were: Tracy R. Edson; Robert L. Cutting, Jr.; Egisto P. Fabbri; Grosvenor P. Lowrey; James H. Banker; Nathan G. Miller. (X119J) Its first central station, located on Pearl St. in lower Manhattan, opened on September 4, 1882. The company was the prototype for other local illuminating companies that were established in the United States during the 1880s. For articles of association, see X119J. The company was consolidated with the New York Gas & Electric Light, Heat & Power Co. in 1901 to form the New York Edison Co.
