This letterbook covers the period March-May 1916. Most of the correspondence is by Edison and William H. Meadowcroft. Included is correspondence pertaining to Edison's benzol absorbing plants, toluol shipments, and other chemical manufacturing interests. Additional items concern Edison's vacation in Florida and the disposition of historic equipment. The correspondents include U.S. Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels, investment banker Clarence Dillon, and representatives of Mitusi & Co.
